About Studenterkilden

Our story starts back in May 1854 - a sunny day in Dyrehaven north of Copenhagen.

The name is Studenterkilden, and the history of the place goes back to a sunny Sunday in May 1854. That day, two young students were out for a walk in Dyrehaven. The young men made a brief stop at the fence of the large garden, where they enjoyed the quiet tranquility of the forest and the beautiful scenery around the lake.

It was here that they caught sight of the small white farmhouse, which alluringly made them move closer. When they reached the door, they were bold enough to knock, and a friendly couple invited them in for a chat. It was the first of many visits to the house, which later became known as Studenterkilden.

Anita Havn Koch Klemensen

Anita is now one of the seasoned chefs on the Danish food scene. She started at Søllerød Kro, then at 1TH, and had her big breakthrough as co-owner and head chef at the Michelin-starred restaurants Den Røde Cottage and Den Gule Cottage.

Anita's philosophy has always been rooted in uncompromising craftsmanship, local seasonal ingredients and without the use of unnecessary frills and fancy machines. For Anita, food is not about molecular experiments, but about taste, personality and honesty on the plate.

After a break from the Michelin race, Anita is back in her beloved surroundings in the forest. At Studenterkilden, she has assembled a team to create a place where shoulders can be lowered. Gone are the stress of everyday life, the rigid conventions of the past; what remains is the essence of her passion; A room, a table and her well-known effort with the art of taking good care of people.

Bjarke is responsible for Studenterkilden's wine list and for the sharp glasses for the wine menu.

Whether you are into classic great wines or small, exciting, quirky ones, Bjarke is ready to find exactly the bottle that suits your style.

Kristian Havn Koch Klemensen

Kristian is the creative driving force and head chef at Studenterkilden. With his sense of classic craftsmanship and detail, it is Kristian who, together with Anita, ensures that every single serving is completed.

Kristian was on the journey at Den Røde og Gule Cottage, where he started as a chef and ended up as assistant head chef when Anita chose to close the restaurants. It was here that the unique pairing between the two was forged - a professional partnership based on blind trust, shared visions and an uncompromising approach to taste.
